PSG Mission

To work in partnership with Zhangde Primary School to deliver the best learning environment for our children by enhancing the school learning experiences and home-school collaboration.

Who We Are

The Zhangde Parent Support Group (PSG) brings together parents and guardians who support the school in enriching the learning experiences of our students and strengthening home-school collaboration.

The PSG also provides a platform for parents to stay connected with the school, connect with one another, and be actively engaged in their child’s educational journey.

Joining Our Parent Community

Every Zhangde parent and guardian is welcome to be part of our Parent Community.

By joining our Parent Community, you can stay updated on PSG activities, school events and opportunities to get involved. From time to time, we will also reach out to the community when parent support is needed for school activities, classroom programmes, celebrations and other events.

There is no regular commitment or obligation to volunteer. Simply participate whenever an opportunity interests you and your schedule allows. Whether you join an activity, lend a helping hand or simply stay connected, you are part of a wider community of parents supporting our children and the school.

Becoming A PSG Executive Committee(EXCO) Member

For parents who would like to take a more active role, joining the PSG Executive Committee (EXCO) provides an opportunity to work more closely with fellow parents, teachers and school leaders in supporting the Zhangde community.

EXCO members help to coordinate PSG initiatives, contribute parent perspectives and support activities that enrich the school experience for our children. It is also an opportunity to better understand the school, build relationships with other parents and contribute your experience, ideas and talents.

Key roles include:

●      Serving as a bridge between the parent community and the school

●      Contributing parent perspectives and participating in discussions on PSG initiatives

●      Planning and coordinating activities, programmes and events together with the school

●      Supporting the organisation and execution of PSG-led initiatives

●      Helping to engage and grow the wider Zhangde parent community

No special skills or prior PSG experience are required. We welcome parents who are willing to contribute their time, ideas and experience and work together with others for the school community.
